I tried to get a unique shot of same dahlia as in previous post since flower pictures are a dime a dozen and was a little tricky since it was a very windy day but this turned out better than I thought it would and has some of just the very tips of petals in focus. Second picture is when little bug from previous post got tired of me and disappeared into the flower.

This was by far my favorite macro shoot of 2022 and have learned a lot since and plan to do more macro shoots again soon, but for now my next few posts will be featuring some dahlia’s that were in front of my house last spring and was able to get a pretty good shot of the little guy in the middle of flower. As I mentioned in previous post I had couple surprises first night trying new lens and trying moon photography. One was the jet going in front of moon in last post and not only that but second jet went by it a little later. Almost didn’t catch it because I was busy trying different settings that worked best with lens and not expecting another to go by of course. Look closely!! During first night trying new lens and also moon photography for first time (same night as previous post) I got lucky with excellent conditions and couple surprises. Such as in these photos I got lucky enough to have a jet fly across while I was taking pictures. Not sure if that happens often or not but turned out pretty good and makes for a unique full moon shot. 🌕🌕🌕 Wolf Moon 2023!

Happy New Year to everyone! After saving for almost a couple years, I finally got the super telephoto lens I’ve been wanting for wildlife and moon photography in particular. I definitely will need a little more practice with it because it’s a beast and will take getting used to handling but wanted to showcase some of what I captured first night trying it out. And no better subject than the first full moon of 2023, the Wolf Moon. 🌕🌕🌕 As usual I tried to edit it as accurate to the actual night as possible. I had no idea apparently today was National Daughters Day until a few minutes ago and I couldn’t be prouder to be the dad of the sweetest most beautiful baby girl I’ve ever seen. This is a photo shoot I did for fun when she was a little over a week old just on the couch with a blanket that was handy that originally was just going to be for @noeldaiglethelabel and I but it was too cute not to share with everyone. First picture is my favorite for some reason. 😍 Can’t believe how much she’s changed in under 3 months.

Last month my life changed forever.
